Very rude customer service

SO I WENT TO HAVE DINNER AT DENNY'S IN SELMA WITH MY FAMILY ON 1-1-13 AND WE WERE SITTED DOWN. THE MANAGER JESSE OVER HEARD US SPEAKING ABOUT THE SPECIAL. HE INFORMED US THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE THE SPECIAL GOING IN A RUDE WAY. I ENDED NOT ORDERING NO FOOD DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE WANTED TO ORDER SOME SPECIALS FROM THE 2 4 6 8 MENU BUT YET THE OTHER DENNY'S RESTAURANT HAD THAT SPECIAL GOING. I REALLY DID NOT APPRECIATE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SELMA'S DENNY'S. I WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN!

Horrible

After traveling 12 hours we decided to go to a restaurant that we don't have in our hometown. We have visited Denny restaurants in other cities so we know what to expect. Unfortunately, the Denny's in Moline, Il was horrible. I didn't get the waitress name because she didn't tell us. I ordered coffee but there was sweeteners on the table. I had to grab off another table. My husband and I ordered soup only to receive lukewarm soup. Water glass filthy & both soup spoons filthy with caked up food still on them. When I brought it to the waitress attention she acted nonchalant. I spoke to manager is he just took my meal off ticket and apologized. I am greatly disappointed.

Restaurant #8716 on 11Feb13, 25 minutes to receive meal. Dirty Glass with water given by manager. Waitress did not ask if coffee or ice tea refills wanted aftrer 25 minutes. Had to ask for refills. Had to ask for desert that was part of the meal. Witnessed the manager having great difficulty processing a credit card, split payment. Worst service/ management I've witnessed in my 70 years(which included being a waiter at an upscale restaurant). The worst time ever

Went in 10 till 10 and sat down did not get our drink order taken for 15 min. Then we were told our kids could eat free.

Then the girl said the kids could have to plate per adult dinner. So we order and wait another 10 min to get a salad. When I asked for tea I asked if it was fresh and was told yes. When I took a sip it tasted so bad.

I had to get it replaced with a coke. Then we waited for another hour and I asked if we could take it to go all the food was in the windowgetting cold as the girl ask the guysin the back for my food. The entire time they were in the back yelling and cusing.then when I ask how much they said over 30 dollars. And I asked why don't the kids eat free she said no after she told the waitress it was ok then said the kids only get one and the waitress order 2 for each kid.

That was not my fault.

I was so pissed I took my family and left. I will never go back to that Dennys again if u could to reach me brandy2shell@***.com

From the way you complaint is worded I assume you mean this happened at 10 minutes to 10 last night. If that is the case and your kids were little enough to qualify for eating free, they should have been home in bed at that time of the night. Not very good parenting.

Just a note to say goodby. After more than thirty years and traveling across this country I have always been able to count on Denny's for consistent quality and service. You have been able to recently to mantain your consistency, but now it's for second rate food and poor service. A few examples: "We are phasing cole slaw from the menu and it is no longer available" "Sorry, we don't have any peppers for your omlette" "We don't have no croutons for your salad" "What is malt vinegar?" "The menu is just photos. Not what we serve" About time you figured out that there is a relationship between your stock market success and your product.

whatever possessed upper management to chsnge the coffee you were serving? the new coffee(dark roast) is horrible. my wife asked the waiter if the coffee was fresh and was assured it was a pot that had just finished brewing. it had no taste to it whatsoever. someone at the home office of the utmost highest management should have tasted it prior to changing it. i will no longer patronize denny's. my business will go to ihop in the future. management should have consulted with coca cola. they made the same mistake when trying a new blend of coke years ago. as a mechanic for many years, i was taught early on that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" .

Very disgusted

Very upset. We went to denny's for lunch. We sat andwaited for our waitress hubby noticed the menus were all sticky and gross. When the waitress finally came ..she didn't come with and introduction or a hello all she said was "what do you want to drink" and she was not very friendly. Once we told her we ordered our food and hubby went to give the menus to her and told her that they were all sticky and she might want to wash them off.. her response was "that's not my job".. we both ordered salads, when we got them they were both brown and gross, the cheese was hard from sitting out. Then finally food showed up. Hubby ordered a skillet, when he went to take a *** he noticed it wasn't the hottest and felt the skillet (which would normally burn someone if they touched it) but it was cold and the broccoli was wet and soggy. Once we left the restaurant i went to look for an email to write a complaint but there wasn't even a phone number on the receipt let alone email to contact. I will never go back to that denny's again worst experience ever.

Why should any waiter/waitress introdduce themselves to a customer? I have no desire to know who they are, they are there to do their job, not become your personal friend.

I also don't care if an employee greets me. I agree with the waitress, wiping off the menus probably wasn't her job, more than likely it was the job of the bus person. When I go to a restaurant, I go there to eat, not get all buddy-buddy with the server. If you were unsatisfied with your food you should have complained about it at the time and they would have redone.

As far as sticky menus go, do you have any idea how many times a day they get handled. I'm sure Denny's won't miss the two of you. If you are so perfect maybe you should try serving people for $2.00 and some cents an hour and see how well you do.

I am also sure if you had looked on line you could have found a place to email corporate, and if there had been a phone number on the receipt it would have been for the Denny's that you ate in, and you can find that in the phone book or even online. Grow up!

Lost time

Dennys Restaurant - Lost time
We arrived at 7:15 pm jan 5 and 3 waiters passed us 10 times until we literally had to scream or service. After the geniuses who work here figured out we ma want to order food the waiter casually stopped by and asked if we needed help. My girlfriend was passed out from hunger and i was falling asleep we finally ordered our meal. Now we are waiting. Hopefully we get it by midnight. She said that she will not come here agin as she was dying of hunger and food is very important to her to exist in this world that requirs food to durvive.

Poor customer service

we went in to eat a late dinner after work. only 4 tables in the entire restaurant but it still took awhile for waitress to come to table. The coffee was cold and when we ordered nachos they was out of peco, with it being very slow the manager on duty should have realized that. Also she table touched with every table except ours and I know she noticed us because she looked me straight in the face on several occasions.After we received our food we waited another 20 minutes for her(manager) to figure out how to make peco the correct way.Do you all have any management training in that store or is it that anyone can be a manager for your company?

Dennys in Bakersfield worst service ever!

On buck Owens drive in Bakersfield. Smelled like throw up when we first walked in. Floors a complete pig sty. No waiter ever came over. Manager finally did and got us drinks then we waited for 20 minutes and never got food. No body ever came to tell us how much longer. Never came to refill drinks. Manager spent 15 minutes on the phone while two or three other workers stood and watched him. We finally got up and left after 25 minutes. Worst dennys ever. Worst staff ever. Worst manager. While there we heard many other patrons angered over same ***.

Horrible Service- Colorado Springs CO. i-25 and LAKE

First of all, the waiter took approximately 15-20 minutes to come and take our order, after asking her a few minutes to look at the restaurant. Secondly, we requested refills, and they were never given. Not once. Once our dinner was ready, three out of four of the meals came out. During this time, other items were requested such as sour cream. Well, by the time the fourth meal came out it was so late that three out of four people who had there meal was already completely done eating. To make matters worse, the fourth meal was burnt. At this time, I spoke to the waitress, Sam regarding the poor service (ie: lack of refills, items requested, and the food wait was long). She mentioned to myself that there tonight there were short staffed, and that she had other tables. I mentioned back to her that this was not my problem being the customer. She started to get quite loud, and said that I did not “need to be so rude”, and then started to yell at me in front of other tables “go change your babys diaper, as we can smell it in the back room” and walked off while saying it. Therefore, getting even louder. It was noticeable enough that the other tables were looking over at us that were 5-6 tables away.

So why did you need a few minutes to look at the restaurant? When a business is short staffed for one reason or another, even if you are the customer, you don't require any more service than any of the other customers. You weren't very considerate and when you mouthed off at the waitress, she got offended and angry, basically she retaliated.

Anti police manager

If Denny's is incapable of hiring managers with enough intelligence to not throw police officers out of their business because they are armed (duh) I will no longer frequent their chain. I have enjoyed the food until this incident. However, I would rather eat in a place frequented by ARMED police officers than armed *** who know the police won't be coming in. Our HERO's (remember 911) don't deserve this kind of treatment. The Belleville manager who did this should be fired. If he has a personal grudge, let him settle it personally. If it is backed by the company, NO one should go there. It is a sad day for America when a moron can embarrass a group of men and/or women who are all that stand between us and the *** because they are against the 2nd Amendment. Truckers , boycott Denny's ..I ordered a Denny's in fact Washington , fat dirty manager told me I could not use restrooms , he said restrooms for work for customers only , I replied that I needed to use the restroom wash my hands before I could eat , he said he guess that would be okay .. as I came out of the bathroom you approached me , and said that my comment was a little bit sarcastic , I told him to kiss my *** ... he's been kicked me out of his restaurant !! never again why into a Denny's .. all you truckers out there let's boycott them !! Manager walked restaurant never greeted me Manager check me out never made eye contact did not ask about my meal never made eye contact appear to be upset but d to leave asked if I wanted to leave a tip very poor customer service fro from management I have worked hospitality for 20 + years and understand the importance of a smile and greeting the customer normally this restaurant hostesses provide very good service this manager The manager walk to buy my table 3 different times And never spoke to me This is not typical Services that I have experienced From Denny's in the pastAzz
