Dennys Restaurant - Our Thanksgiving dinner????
We stopped at Denny's at the Truckstop in Beaverdam,Ohio.
No other restaurannts were open in Lima,Ohio and since we always had very good food in Beaverdam before, we went to them. There were about 6 truckdrivers in the diningroom. On the menu was turkey which my husband took and also our son,I saw the picture of a nice looking hamsteak, the size about 5 " and juicy looking with shredded potatoes ,golden brown and green beans and cranberry relish. We all ordered what we wanted and when it came ,we had to call the waitress again, because our son ordered a salad, she forgot.I needed silverware, which was not on the table,no cranberry relish and my juice hamsteak was a 3" darkbrown rubbery thing with no cranberry the greenbeans were cold, not warm, cold and like rubber. We all left them on our plates.I've never had a meal like that at Denny's in the 60 years we lived in the States. This was our THANKSGIVING meal,terrible...

I was working in Ohio back in 1979. The group I was with all went to Dennys for Thanksgiving.
It wasn't the best, or worst. We were all from different parts of the world, and being together, away from our familys, was a blessing. Back then, Dennys had the best pies. As a matter of fact, for many years, we would buy our holiday pies from Dennys.
Pumpkin, Coconut Custard, Pecan, Apple, Cherry, Blueberry...key lime.
They were the best!. The experience that year was awesome...the staff made us all feel like family..
Wow, who would guess that spending Thanksgiving at a truck stop would not create cherished memories that last a lifetime? Must be great to be your kid.
Last time i checked the pictures in the menu of places aren't to scale. And I've yet to see a ham steak that's juicy, I mean, it's usually like a half inch thick and you fry it in a pan, what do you expect?
As to the other things, it was probably a slow day so they more than likely had minimal vegetables being cooked and you got whatever was in the pot. But hey, you're eating at a truck stop, everyone knows that if you don't get 5 star service there that the place is wronging you, especially on a holiday.
And why emphasize that it was your thanksgiving dinner? That's like finishing the story with "I live in a trailer park."
Why not be like every other normal American and spend Thanksgiving at home? It just appears to me that you're too lazy to cook and would rather force someone to have to work on a holiday to feed your fat ***

What a big mouth @sshole. I was looking for a place to take my Mom on Thanksgiving because she is in an assisted living home with dementia so cant cook for her at her home and I dont have the time to bring her all the way to my house and back to her place before she has to be home for the night.
She cant stay at our house anymore over night because its to frightning for her.
So before you open your big old mouth and fill the airway with your ignorance, stop and think that there may be a reason people cant stay home and cook! OH YEAH DURRR live in Maine and 80,000 homes without power ***!!!
Yah FATSO!!!!!
